Almost everybody has suffered form some sort of irrational Fear or Phobia in their lifetime. Phobias are distinct in that the fear that is experienced is due to the “conditioned response” to an object or situation that the sufferer recognizes as “irrational”.
This does not mean that the Fear is not real, far from it in fact, but it is important to recognize that the mind is more than capable of creating that fear even if the thing that you fear has never actually happened to you!
